Student Board

Bama Wesley’s Student Board serves as the elected representatives of the entire ministry, representing all students at Bama Wesley to potential students, alumni, and others. The Board includes an elected President, Vice-President, and Secretary, as well as an ex officio Treasurer and others whom the Board may invite to participate in their work throughout the year. In addition to representing Wesley both on and beyond campus, the Board annually works with the senior class to plan and implement a “legacy project” to enhance Wesley’s ministry for future generations.

Important Information for Candidates

  • Candidates should plan to attend an information session on Monday, March 18 at 6:30pm. If you are unable to attend this session, please contact John Fleischauer.
  • Both candidacy documents below (the Student Board Declaration of Candidacy and Leadership Covenant) must be signed and returned to John Fleischauer by no later than 10pm on Wednesday, March 20 in order for you to appear on the ballot. Please be aware that you must obtain the signatures of three eligible voters (currently enrolled students who have completed Flight Path) on your Declaration of Candidacy form.

Office Eligibility

All officers are required to adhere to Bama Wesley’s Leadership Covenant, have completed all three Flight Path sessions, and be current participants in Bama Wesley’s covenant discipleship process (Ember or Phoenix Groups). Additionally, those will be at least sophomores during the 2019-2020 school year are eligible to run for Secretary, juniors may run for Vice-President, and seniors may run for President.

Election Information

Elections for Student Board will be held on Wednesday, March 27. Those eligible to vote in the election are currently enrolled students who have completed all three Flight Path sessions.

Elections will be open from 8am to 8pm on March 27, and eligible voters will receive an email with instructions and a secure link to cast your vote. Results will be announced during The Rising on March 27. If you do not receive an email with your ballot on March 27 and believe you are eligible to vote, please email administration@bamawesley.org.
