What’s the best way to give?
We often get asked whether it’s preferable to give by cash/check, credit/debit card, or bank transfer/ACH. While we are happy to accept donations using whatever means is most convenient for you, our lowest processing costs come from cash/check (with no processing costs) and bank transfer/ACH (with a flat rate of $0.25 per transaction regardless of amount). Credit/debit card transactions incur a transaction fee of 2.15% + $0.30.
If you’d like to ensure that 100% of your donation goes toward Wesley’s mission and ministry, when donating by credit/debit card or ACH our online giving system provides the option to increase your donation to cover these processing fees. If you have questions about these fees, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Gifts from Churches, Sunday School Classes, and Other Groups
As the United Methodist Campus Ministry to The University of Alabama, Bama Wesley is proud to partner with churches, Sunday School classes, and other groups. For local United Methodist churches, we want to be your college ministry and represent you on campus. For churches – whether United Methodist or otherwise – outside of the Tuscaloosa area, your financial support of Bama Wesley is a great way to continue to support your students that have come to Alabama.
If you’re interested in partnering financially with Bama Wesley, the best way to do so is by including us as a line item in your missions (or equivalent) budget with a regular disbursement. Alternatively, if you’d like to support specific projects and other needs as they arise, we’d be happy to discuss what those options might entail.
For more details and to let us know you’d like to partner with us, please email email@example.com.
