If you’re a college-aged person in Tuscaloosa, we’d love for you to get involved at Bama Wesley! We have lots of opportunities throughout the week for you can get plugged in, whether that’s through worship, small groups, service, or any number of other opportunities.
The best way to find out ways to get involved is to sign up for our emails:
Wesley @ Home
Wesley @ Home is the best way to get plugged in at Bama Wesley. These small groups meet throughout the week in dorms, apartments, coffee shops, or anywhere else students gather together. Each student-led group is based around a common activity, and uses a message, discussion questions, and other shared resources developed by our pastors and staff. To learn more about Wesley @ Home, including information about how to find (and even lead!) a group of your own, click here.
Throughout the semester, we will have several opportunities for in-person worship including music, prayer, and a live message. All services will take place in Chitwood Hall at First United Methodist Church (800 Greensboro Ave.), and carpools will be available from campus.
Weekly Prayer and Communion
Each week that we don’t have an All-Wesley Worship service, we offer a prayer and Communion service led by one of our pastors at the Wesley building (505 9th St. across from Burke Hall). As United Methodists we believe that the table of Holy Communion is open to all, and you are invited to come and receive regardless of your denominational affiliation (or lack thereof). If you come from a tradition that does not allow you to receive Communion outside of that tradition, you are still invited to come spend time in prayer and receive a blessing.
